Youth .22 shoots

This shoot is open to all shooters, ages 8 to 80!  Have a .22 rifle?  Bring it.  Don’t have a rifle?  We have got you covered.  Rifles and ammo provided by PMSC at no charge.

These shoots are a ton of fun for both kids and adults alike.  Shoot reactive steel and other reactive targets.  Free instruction from certified range personnel.  Great opportunity to introduce kids to rifle shooting.  This shoot takes place on the PMSC outdoor pistol range.

Our program will give children ages eight and up, the knowledge, and then the confidence, to first and foremost safely handle a smallbore rifle (.22lr gun). They will learn:

• Rules of safe gun handling
• Proper range commands
• How to conduct one’s self on a range with multiple shooters.
• Three position shooting: standing, kneeling and bench rest.
• Proper sight alignment.
• Trigger control.

The .22 Shoots are held the second Monday night of each month at 6:30 pm.
