For his Eagle Scout service project, Mario Nardozi will be enhancing the area surrounding the newly installed memorial stone near the PMSC entrance. He will be adding benches, mulch, shrubs, flowers, and brick pavers. To fund the project, Mario is selling custom-engraved pavers. If you'd like to honor a family member or friend who is or has served in a branch of the military by purchasing an engraved paver, you may do so by clicking here. You can also contact Mario directly at email@example.com

PMSC has some of the best trap facilities in the area including a new shelter between Traps 2 and 3. Trap participation is growing, so come out and join us. Trap practice is at 10am Saturday (weather permitting) and is open to the public. These practices are low-key, and all shooters from beginners to the experienced are welcome. All you need is a shotgun (modified or full choke recommended), shells with 7-1/2 or 8 shot, and eye/ear protection. If you don't have a shotgun, bring some factory shells (12 gauge, 7-1/2 or 8 shot) and someone will loan you a gun or you can use a club gun (small cleaning fee). To hear about any upcoming trap news/events at PMSC, email Doug at firstname.lastname@example.org and ask to be added to the trap email list.
PMSC also participates in the Tuesday evening Westmoreland Trap League with Trafford, Shaner, and Herminie which lasts for twenty weeks through the summer. The first 2015 league shoot is April 14th at Trafford. For information about joining the league, come to a Saturday practice or email Doug.
PMSC permits members who have had an orientation from the Trap Commander to open a trap field for practice any day from 9am to 9pm, except for special event conflicts. Trap orientation is held at 9:15am on the first Saturday of the month (email Doug in advance if you plan to attend an orientation).
It's starting to warm up and the daylight is lasting longer, so I wanted to remind everyone that skeet night is every Thursday night 6pm-9pm on the skeet field (weather permitting). You'll need your own ammo (#7.5 shot or smaller). If you don't have your own shotgun, there's usually someone willing to share a gun with a first-timer, and the club also has 12ga shotguns and 20ga youth shotguns available. The cost is $3.50 per round of skeet (25 targets). Also, if you're a member who would like to be able to shoot skeet at your convenience, come on a Thursday night, and I will give you a short orientation on the operation of the skeet field. For more information, contact Kenny Riddile at email@example.com
Project Appleseed is an activity of The Revolutionary War Veterans Association, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, dedicated to teaching every American our shared heritage and history as well as traditional rifle marksmanship skills. Our volunteer instructors travel across the country teaching those who attend about the difficult choices, the heroic actions, and the sacrifices that the Founders made on behalf of modern Americans, all of whom are their posterity.
It is appropriate for all levels from new shooters to competition shooters.
Fellow trap shooters, I wanted pass along some information on an upcoming trap clinic being held at Pitcairn Monroeville Sportsmen’s Club. PMSC will be hosting the Richard Marshall Jr. Trap Shooting Clinic. Richard Marshall Jr. is a 23 time All American shooter, one of the best in trap shooting today. Two one day classes will be offered, Saturday, 2 May and Sunday, 3 May 2015. There are a very limited number of clinic slots due to the individualized nature of instruction. The price for the one day clinic is $250 and a $125 deposit (nonrefundable) is required to reserve a spot. The shooter is responsible for all target fees and must provide their own ammunition. More information can be found by visiting Rick’s site at http://www.richardmarshalljr.com/Index.html. Email David Sandala at firstname.lastname@example.org to reserve a spot.
The club has purchased a personal voice-release system for members to use on the skeet field. This system allows you to shoot skeet by yourself without needing someone else there to push buttons and throw targets for you. Members wishing to use this system must contact Kenny Riddile at email@example.com to arrange an orientation.
